So Soultracks.com is doing a Greatest Soul Albums of the 90's list and they narrowed it down to the top 100. "Definition of a Band" made the list, so all we have to do now it vote for it so it can get a high ranking which it rightly deserves when they release the final list. I voted for it, as well, as Tony Toni Tone's House of Music, Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite (funny all three of these were released in 96) among a few others that I also voted for. Surprisingly, my favorite R&B/Soul album of the 90's (From The Mint Factory) wasn't on the list :(. Oh well... vote for D.O.A.B.!!

It's also #1 on the "BILLBOARD R&B Recurrent Airplay" chart as well.
Ahh.... it feels good to see the Billboard R&B charts page this week online, http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/charts/randb_hiphop_index.jsp scroll down and see Mint Condition as having the number #1 Billboard Recurrent R&B song AND Recurrent Airplay song in the country.
"Nothing Left To Say" is also holding steady at #12 on the Adult R&B charts after 34 weeks (8 and a half months!)
Time to celebrate.......oh wait...

15 years ago TODAY, U Send Me Swingin' was sitting a #2 on the Billboard R&B charts. It would sit there for FOUR weeks straight and was only behind another song which was sitting at number one for a while. Can any of yall MCC heads guess what song it was??? I'll give you a clue:
"MY MINDS TELLING ME NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!....."
But yeah, that's just a little fact for y'all. Once Mint moved to number #5 after the four weeks, Jodeci's "Feenin" moved to #2, while "MY MINDS TELLING ME NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!....." ... was still #1 spot. lol.
Time flys by, doesn't it?? 15 years has passed by since "U Send Me Swingin'" and Stoke, Lawrence, Jeff, Odell & Rick are STILL R&B hitmakers.

Thanks. I know how you feel.
I was also the one that inserted the chart there at the bottom, where their singles are and included the recurrent column as well, months back. (I ain't lying y'all) Before it was just a bunch of words and numbers which didn't look right. So I looked at another artist's chart with a similar collection of singles (I think it was Xscape, i cant remember), and constructed one for Mint with some changes here and there.
I also took the responsibility of updating the peak position of "Nothing Left To Say" every since it came out by checking Billboard's website every week when the new charts were released from summer to present.
Just recently, 'Nothing Left to Say' debuted on the Billboard R&B Recurrent charts at #2 which I updated last week.
I just fixed up Mint Condition's Wikipedia page...

I'm going with "right here" its one of the best ballads on the album and Mint ballads always do well on the charts. MC is is best known for their ballads and I think this song can get big. Plus the song has a message/theme which they have always been successful with (you dont have to hurt, nothing left to say, what kind of man, breakin my heart etc.) Moan is great too, but its a straight sex song. LOL.
Umm dnicks, how do you know the exact number of how much E-Life sold??? Can i get a link or something??? I've been looking for this for a while now...
